One of my goals during my travels was to improve my photography skills. My paintings use photos for reference, so the better a photo - the better the painting. And capturing my models in motion in a variety of lighting conditions has been tricky.
Lucky for me, my stay in Connecticut placed me just blocks from an amazing studio that was the creative child of the dynamo video and photo team of spouses and partners Mistina and Luke Holcomb who own Lotta Studio.
After a 2 hour master class with Mistina, she set up the studio with pro lighting, took me on a shopping trip down in her massive prop basement, and we had a gorgeous model (Rachel Riggot) swing by to put the new skills into action. I couldn't stop smiling all day. The experience was absolutely incredible.
